Flint Angeroth Franks

Session: The Serbian Classical Trumpet Tradition

Flint Angeroth Franks is the Director of Jazz Ensembles and High Brass Instructor at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR. At SAU, Flint oversees the SAU Jazz program, the SAU Trumpet Ensemble, coaches chamber groups, and teaches both undergraduate trumpet and french horn lessons.

Flint is a graduate of Luther College ‘15, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro ‘19, and Florida State University ‘23. Additionally, Flint has worked in education throughout his career, including as the 5th-12th Grade Band Director at Edgewood-Colesburg CSD in Edgewood, IA and as the Visual Caption Head at River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps during their 2021 season.

As a performer, Flint has toured globally and domestically, including performances in Brazil, China, Austria, and Serbia. Highlights include performances at the National Trumpet Competition in ensemble and solo divisions, the CBDNA National Conference, and concerts with Sinfonia Gulf Coast, the Tallahassee Symphony, Colorado Brass, the Triad Stage, Agöge Brass Quintet and the commercial group Hot Horns.
