Brass IMPACT!

Concert

Brass IMPACT! is a bold and versatile professional brass ensemble that fuses the power of classical, jazz, rock, fusion, and contemporary works, both original and reimagined. The ensemble’s mission is simple yet profound: to collaborate with host organizations in presenting exceptional concerts that raise funds for meaningful causes. Past beneficiaries include the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Piedmont Wind Symphony/UNCSA Fellowship programs, and Notes of Hope, which supports music education in Western North Carolina and beyond.

Comprised of some of the nation’s finest brass musicians, Brass IMPACT! features performers who appear regularly with premier orchestras and wind bands including the North Carolina Symphony, Greensboro Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, Salisbury Symphony, Western Piedmont Symphony, and the Piedmont Wind Symphony. Off stage, many members are also distinguished educators, shaping the next generation of artists through their faculty roles at UNC Greensboro, Winston-Salem State University, and the UNC School of the Arts. Recently, Brass IMPACT! earned international recognition by being selected to perform at the prestigious Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, the largest conference of its kind with more than 20,000 attendees annually. While in Chicago, the ensemble will also join forces with the Ryan Anthony Foundation to present Cancer Blows—a high-profile benefit concert for cancer research—sharing the stage with world-renowned brass luminaries Jens Lindemann, Wayne Bergeron, Matt Niess, Maria Serkin, Brent Harvey, and emerging artists Darrion Keck and Cayley Jackson.

Brass IMPACT! operates under Amarka Creative, founded by Amanda and Mark Norman, where artistry, education, and community impact intersect. Through inspired performances and philanthropic partnerships, the ensemble creates musical experiences that resonate far beyond the stage—leaving lasting impressions on audiences and communities alike.
