Originally hailing from Brazil, Nairam Simoes has established himself as an award-winning trumpet artist and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Arkansas State University. His diverse international career spans performance, music education, and clinician roles. Cited by the International Trumpet Guild for his “virtuosity and musicality,” Simoes has collaborated with distinguished ensembles, including the Arkansas Symphony, Memphis Symphony, and Fountain City Brass Band. He also serves the role of editor for the Orchestral Spotlight Column in the International Trumpet Guild Journal, contributing numerous interviews with prominent orchestral trumpet players. 

Simoes holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Memphis.
