Dr. Erika Izaguirre, a versatile musician, recently concluded a successful solo tour in Spain, showcasing her commitment to contemporary music. Collaborating with renowned composers, she actively promotes diversity in the trumpet community as Co-Chair of ITG’s Diversity Committee. 

As Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Concordia College, she nurtures future musicians while engaging in chamber music and orchestral performances. Erika advocates for diversity and inclusion, aiming to empower underrepresented musicians. With a Doctor of Musical Arts from Eastman, she credits mentors like James Thompson for her journey. Outside music, Erika enjoys comic books and outdoor adventures, adding vibrancy to her multifaceted life.
