Dr. Douglas Lindsey joined the University of Oklahoma faculty in 2023, previously serving as Associate Professor at Kennesaw State University. A seasoned performer, he has showcased his talent at major conferences, played countless recitals, released a solo album with two more in production, and performed with notable orchestras including the Memphis Symphony and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Lindsey’s commitment to community music is evident through his leadership in the Georgia Brass Band, where he served as the President and Principal cornet, with the Frontier Brass Band as their new Music Director, and now with the Fountain City Brass Band as Principal Cornet.  Dr. Lindsey earned his DMA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s from Yale, where he won the John Swallow Prize. A versatile musician, Lindsey has also toured with esteemed brass quintets and is an artist for Mercer and Barker mouthpieces and Schilke trumpets.
