Dario Teskera
Lecture Recital
Trumpet professor at the Music Academies in Zagreb (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
He graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb in 1995. After completing his studies, he went on a two-year specialization at the Trompeten-Akademie Werder in Bremen (Germany), where he had the opportunity to learn from top trumpet players and pedagogues, including Bo Nilsson, Pierre Thibaud, Thomas Stevens, John Wallace, and James Thompson. His stay in Bremen had a strong influence on his performing and teaching career.
After finishing his studies in Bremen, he successfully passed an audition for solo trumpeter in the Symphony Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television (1998) and began his teaching career at the Music Academy in Zagreb (since 1999).
He served as the solo trumpeter in the Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, after which he occasionally collaborated with the same orchestra. Besides solo performances, he also dedicates a great deal of attention to playing in various chamber music ensembles.
Along with Croatian organist Mario Perestegi in the Duo Teskera-Perestegi, with which he has been active for the last ten years, they have performed numerous concerts in their home country as well as in Poland, Lithuania, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Austria, and Japan.
