What is your Heart’s Song? An Approach to Ease, Freedom and Joy through Alexander Technique

Judith A. Saxton enjoys a multi-faceted thirty-five-year career as an international  concert/recording artist, chamber/orchestral musician, liturgical improviser, and educator.  Among her 25 recordings was ITG’s ‘Concert and Contest pieces for Trumpet’.  A Vincent Bach Artist, Certified Alexander Technique Teacher (ATI) and Registered Somatic  Movement Educator (RSME), her complete program ‘Boosting the Brain-Body Bond for Brass’  (2022) shares her experiences in a practical pedagogy practice guide coupled with 10 teaching  videos.  

Former UNC School of the Arts Artist/Faculty, Brass/Percussion Chair; and Wichita State  University Associate Professor, Judith has presented over three decades of workshops  combining her musicianship and brain-body experience for over 200 universities,  conservatories, festivals, conferences, and Eldercare facilities world-wide. 

Relishing collaboration, Judith is actively performing across the eastern seaboard with a variety  of ensembles, organizations, and partners. She also offers guest artist residencies  nationwide that incorporate her somatic and musical worlds to celebrate and amplify students’  ‘voice’ and creativity.
