The ITG Conference is accepting applications for two Conference Internships this year. Please read all informtion below.

ITG History and Display Intern

Fall 2025 – Summer 2026 (Remote + On-Site at 2026 ITG Conference)

  • The International Trumpet Guild (ITG) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented History and Display Intern to support the development of historical materials and visual displays for the 2026 ITG Conference in Rochester, New York.
  • This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the preservation and celebration of ITG’s rich legacy through archival research, historical storytelling, and visual design.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile significant historical information about ITG, including milestones, past conferences, leadership, and landmark performances.
  • Collaborate with ITG leadership and archives to gather photos, documents, and media from past events.
  • Design banners, timelines, and visual materials to be professionally printed and displayed at the 2026 ITG Conference.
  • Assist in drafting captions, descriptions, and other interpretive text for historical displays.
  • Coordinate content development and deadlines with Conference Staff.
  • Attend the 2026 ITG Conference in Rochester, NY (travel at intern’s own expense; housing and registration provided).

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in Music, Arts Administration, Public History, Museum Studies, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Strong research and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with archival practices or historical documentation.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines remotely.
  • Interest in music, arts organizations, or nonprofit conference planning a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $500 stipend (distributed upon completion of internship)

ITG Photography Intern

Summer 2026 (On-Site at 2026 ITG Conference)

  • The International Trumpet Guild (ITG) seeks a creative and detail-oriented Photography Intern to document and visually capture the excitement, artistry, and community of the 2026 ITG Conference in Rochester, New York.

Responsibilities

  • Attend the 2026 ITG Conference in Rochester, NY, to photograph performances, presentations, exhibits, and social events.
  • Work alongside Conference Photographers to capture, edit and organize photographs for ITG archival purposes, social media, publications, and website use.
  • Capture candid, posed, and promotional shots that reflect the mission and atmosphere of ITG.
  • Prepare a curated set of high-quality images for ITG’s post-conference marketing and historical archives.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in with proven photography skills and experience in event or performance photography.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, live performance environments and adapt to changing lighting conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in music, arts organizations, or nonprofit event coverage a plus.
  • Must provide own photography equipment.
