President’s Welcome

The 49th Annual International Trumpet Guild Conference
Salt Lake City, Utah

WELCOME

Welcome to the 49th annual International Trumpet Guild Conference in beautiful, mountainous Salt Lake City, Utah! I cannot wait to spend five inspiring and exciting days of music, fellowship, and trumpeting with you all from May 27-31, 2025, at the University of Utah.  Our Conference Director Rebecca Wilt, our host Peyden Shelton, our Conference Artist Committee chaired by Brian Walker, and the ITG Board of Directors are excited to welcome you to the conference!

One of the beautiful things about the International Trumpet Guild Conference is that it is open to any trumpeter and trumpet enthusiast of all ages and abilities! As an attendee, you will be able to hear inspiring performances by leading international artists in the trumpet world, attend educational master classes by top-notch pedagogues, discover the next generation of trumpeters through exceptional student competitions, and absorb new and valuable information through topical presentations.

Please remember to bring your trumpet, as everyone will have the chance to participate if they so choose. Opportunities to play include group warm-up sessions, our Non-Professional reading sessions, the Festival of Trumpets, an opening fanfare, which will be conducted by a trumpet legend, and many more.  No matter what you choose to see or do, it will prove to be a wonderful experience for all. Don’t miss the chance to explore the fantastic exhibits where you can try out new instruments, mutes, mouthpieces, accessories, and purchase music – it’s one of a kind!

At the International Trumpet Guild, we deeply value all our members and attendees.  We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and friendly atmosphere where sharing, networking, and learning can flourish.  Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time attendee, know how much we appreciate you and how excited we are to have you join us.  Our staff, volunteers, and board members are eager to assist you and ensure your conference experience is exceptional.

Take in the stunning mountain views and the charm of Salt Lake City.  I always say what makes ITG special is the people, and I can’t wait to see you all soon.  Here’s to a wonderful week of friendship, learning, and of course, trumpet!
