Olivia Montagno

Olivia Montagno is a high school band director in Upstate New York. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose where she was the recipient of the presidential award, and a Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Music Education. In addition to teaching, Montagno maintains an active schedule performing with a wide selection of ensembles. She performs with ensembles such as the Hudson Festival orchestra, Northern Symphonic Winds, and can also be found subbing in the Orchestra of Northern New York. She has presented at the International Women’s Brass conference and continues to be an advocate for arts education and strengthening music education programs.
