Tyler Duncan

Technical Sgt. Tyler Duncan is a trumpeter with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, his Air Force career began in 2020.

Duncan is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Music (2013) and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance (2019), holding a teaching assistant position during his graduate studies. During his collegiate career, he was a solo semi-finalist for the National Trumpet Competition in both undergraduate and graduate divisions.

He has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, and the Florida State University Faculty Brass Quintet. Duncan is an active member of the International Trumpet Guild. His teachers include Dr. Christopher Moore, Jan Kagarice, and Jim Daniel.
