Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble

The Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble, James Olcott, director, has been a mainstay in the Minneapolis region since its first concert in 2015. Its performances, averaging 12 per year, have featured works for from six to 24 trumpets from all genres and utilize the entire trumpet family, along with percussion, to create a unique and exciting color palate.

 

The ensemble’s presentation will feature transcriptions from Gabrieli, von Suppe, Rimsky-Korsakov, Holst and others while performing several original works, including a new work written fo the TCTE by Eric Ewazen, Clarion Calls for Two Trumpets and Trumpet Choir, featuring soloists Charles Lazarus and Ronald Romm.
