Kyra Sovronsky

Unlocking Potential: Teaching Trumpet from Baby Teeth to Adult Smiles

Kyra Sovronsky teaches Suzuki Trumpet in Salt Lake City and serves as Trumpet VP on the board of the Suzuki Association of Utah. An active performer and clinician, Kyra holds a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Boston University. Her main teachers have been Terry Everson, Charlie Geyer, Barbara Butler and Paul Merkelo.  

Kyra is currently Principal Trumpet of the Ballet West Orchestra, and has performed with the Utah Symphony/Utah Opera. Kyra is a faculty member at Westminster University and Weber State University, in addition to maintaining a large private teaching studio.
