Tone, air, embouchure, articulation, fingers, slurs, dynamics and good attacks are important aspects of a great warmup, and many trumpeters develop a set routine, played the same way every day, to ensure that they can play reliably. But there are many trumpeters who would like to be more flexible and creative in their warmup, but they wonder if they can achieve enough stability this way. In this session, I will go over the important parts of a great warmup routine, while incorporating creativity and musicality at the same time. Attendees will leave with a new confidence in making their own creative warmup.
