Prelude: University of North Dakota Trumpet Ensemble
The Cleveland Orchestra’s Principal Trumpet, Michael Sachs, will discuss James Stamp’s teaching and Mr. Stamp’s influence on Mr. Sachs’ approach to playing the trumpet. This will include historical context of Mr. Stamp’s methodology, how to use the Stamp Warm-up exercises, as well as how Sachs applies Stamp’s philosophy throughout his playing.
