Bruno Garcia Fermiano is a professional freelancer trumpet player in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Bruno Garcia received his Bachelor of Music from Faculdade Mozarteum de São Paulo. In 2010, he studied with Dr. Joseph Van Fleet at Eastern Kentucky University, KY.
Bruno began playing the trumpet at age 10 and played his first job as a professional musician in a dance band at 16. He studied trumpet with Antonio Carlos Lopes, Jr. and Fernando Dissenha, both members of the Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, Sergio Cascapera, and Carlos Sulpicio, former student of Roger Voisin at Boston University.
Bruno Garcia was the principal trumpet of the Sinfonica Heliopolis and Sao Paulo Youth Symphony band at age 20. In 2011, Bruno took a job as the principal trumpet for a Broadway show called Evita. He has gone on to play in many Broadway shows since, including Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of the Music, Man of La Mancha, and others.
As performer, Bruno performed on the TV Show “The Voice Kids Brazil”, and is the currently trumpet player of the TV Show “Talentos.”
Bruno Garcia has maintained an active teaching career. As clinician, he has presented masterclasses in Brazil and in the U.S.
He is one of the owners of the JTF AULAS online platform, an online trumpet platform very similar to Netflix where it offers many trumpet video lessons. Also, Bruno founded the largest trumpet blog “Trumpet Articles Blog,” in Brazil in 2011.
Currently, Bruno is the Director of the Brazil Jazz Trumpet Festival. The JTF was founded in 2013. Since then, it has become the largest and most important trumpet festival in South America presenting international artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Jon Faddis, James Morrison, Allen Vizzutti, Vince DiMartino, and many others.
