Baroque Concert
KREŠIMIR FABIJANIĆ was born in Zagreb. Graduated in trumpet at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Prof. Arnold. While still a student, he performed as a soloist accompanied by the Zagreb Soloists, Zagrebačka Philharmonic Orchestra, and Varaždin Chamber Orchestra.
After his studies, he is intensively engaged in the performance of old music on replicas of instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries. He perfects the baroque trumpet and the interpretation of baroque music with eminent English musicians by Masters C. Steele-Perkins, M. Laird, D. Staff, S. Keavy, R. Farley, and M. Bennett. It is a perennial winner of Dartington Summer School scholarships from Great Britain, and performed with the Dartington Festival
Baroque Orchestra. He performs regularly in the country and abroad and collaborates with the Antiphonus ensemble, Choir Croatian Radio Television, Slovenian early music ensembles Harmonia Antiqua Labacensis and Musica Cubicularis, the Austrian Haydn Akademie orchestra, the Catalan ensemble La Grande Chapelle, and the Belgian ensemble Vox Luminis.
He is a soloist of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble, with whom he regularly performs at domestic early music festivals (such as Varaždin Baroque Evenings and Korkyra Baroque Festival). He gave concerts at foreign festivals in France, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, and Cuba. He recorded for Croatian Radio and Television. He recorded sound carriers with the Antifonus ensemble, the Croatian Choir, radio and television, and the La Grande Chapelle ensemble.
He is permanently employed as a trumpet teacher at the Vatroslav Lisinski School of Music in Zagreb.
